A dynamic design professional with twenty years of experience, Cece Stelljes has created inviting environments in the lifestyle, hospitality, residential, and development realms. After earning her Master’s degree in Interior Design at Pratt Institute, she worked at several prominent design firms focusing on restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs.

As co-owner of a boutique design studio for nine years, she introduced the firm to hospitality and commercial projects, took on numerous residential clients, and oversaw the company’s impressive growth. Simultaneously she worked with her spouse on development projects, and handled both renovations and subsequent hosting duties for numerous vacation rentals.

Her work on a West Village townhouse was featured on the cover of Interior Design magazine and bestowed a Best Of Year award. In 2019 she received a RADD award honoring leaders in Brooklyn real estate, architecture, design, and development.

In her earlier career as a music industry executive, Cece developed and executed marketing strategies for bands & artists. Adept at discovering and collaborating with lesser-known talent, she guided these creatives and introduced their work to wider audiences. This interest in discovery carries through to her interior design work, where she strives to include unexpected – yet wholly related– elements.

How does interior design compare to working in the music biz? “I still get to enjoy the thrill of discovering lesser known talents and sharing them with wider audiences, although nowadays the music stays on the speakers while I gush about furniture, graphics, wallpaper, lighting, art & decor.”

From the Jesus and Mary Chain to The Ritz-Carlton, Cece maintains a passion for transforming stories into experiences, creating exciting moments tailored for specific audiences.

She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three sons, is an avid traveler, and still likes to dance.
